Mary's Bottle (Final 20x24" Oil on Canvas)

Painted the edges, removed the verse because it was too distracting. John 12:3 is still the theme. Added color to the perfume and hair, and added details to the patterns, including the spiral in bottom left to balance out the image. The painting is an interpretation of John 12:3 when Mary washes the feet of Jesus Christ with perfume valued a years wages. The perfume fills the house. The colors represent the perfume flowing from her hair and the bottle around Christ's feet, up into the room, and the spiral colors are the beautiful aromas from the jar. The focus is on Christ, not mary or the perfume.
