The Deluge (Final)

Inspired by Monet's parliments at the Art Institute for the bright colors. So, the bottom two rocks are submerged mountains, and the one on the left bottom is mt Ararat where the ark will rest after the waters recede. The glory of god and the sun from the parted storm is shining and hovering over the waters, and giving it the glorious colors, and giving the waters a lifelike blue because the mountains are coming back to life. Hence the colors represent life, and the bright colors show that the waters are warm and no longer full of ice. The light colors at the top is the glare from the endless sea that goes into the horizon that is masked by the light. 2007/03/01 (11x14" acrylic on canvas.)
