THANKS TO:

I would like to give special thanks to Way Walker for developing this new version. He did all the work! If it were not for him it would be dead for sure! Secondly, I would like to thank Joe Jenkins for his help developing the installation and for hosting cc on his website http://secret-fish.org and www.salvationscorner.net for hosting also. Also to Andrew Harmon who developed the Christian Command Logo.

THE CHRISTIAN COMMANDMENT:

KJV Luke 10:27 "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."

TECH NOTES:

Abridged Versions Log:
CHRISTIAN COMMAND V5.00

-----------------------------------------------------
Improvements over version 4.0
-----------------------------------------------------

  1. Moved to http://www.havenofbliss.com/
  2. Now works on mIRC 5.82
  3. Search is now faster
    • Uses a Windows version of grep to search, which is faster than anything that could be scripted in mIRC
    • Now that it runs outside of mIRC it shouldn't cause mIRC to freeze while it searches
    • The only downside is that for it to work you must have the /run command unlocked, sorry
  4. Settings windows
    • All (or almost all) settings are now controlled through the "General Settings" window or the "Bible Settings" window.
    • You can access the General Settings window by:
      • The Christian Command menu (in the menubar)
      • Pressing shift + F12
      • Typing /ccSettings in any window
    • You can access the Bible Settings window by:
      • The Christian Command menu (in the menubar)
      • Pressing shift + F11
      • Typing /ccBibleSettings in any window
  5. New memoserv window should make memoserv easier for those on Dalnet (Just type /memos)
  6. Detects if you have locked the /run command and doesn't try to use it if you have (This does mean that some features won't be available if /run is locked)
  7. Christian Command can now attempt to ignore notices sent in reply to ctcps. This can be done for either everybody or just Christian Command users. (To do it for Christian Command users you can use the Christian Command Check menu in the channel popups to find who uses Christian Command)
  8. You can also use the Christian Command check menu in the Channel popups to view a list of known Christian Command users.
  9. List Users and Server Time have been added to the Status window popups.
  10. Some things have been removed since the last version
    • Bible Bot - Christian Command allows you to act as a Bible Bot, and, if you need a second "person" as the bot, mIRC will let you open more itself more than once.
    • @search command in channel - there are problems with sending the large number of verses that searches sometimes provide. This is worse because it can be difficult to find the right way to narrow down the search.
    • Friends - It's gone, it was a security risk.
    • NIV and NASB - It was illegal for us to use them so they are no longer provided. Christian Command still supports both of them, so if you have a copy you can use it.
